چکیده

ABSTRACT: The MODIS images have been useful for a wide range of land, ocean and atmosphere phenomena. However, 1km resolution would not be enough to detect land changes for small areas comprised of various land cover types. For this study, wavelet-based fusion and adaptive regression model were applied for improvement MODIS five 500m bands, and outputs are compared by some evaluation indicators with visual interpretation. Wavelet-based methods have vertical, horizontal and diagonal emphasized pixels which are created in the process of reconstruction. Fusion method using adaptive regression model including NDVI have a high spectral fidelity.

Feasibility and Accuracy of Modis 250m Imagery for Forest Disturbance Monitoring

Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) images were compared to Terra-MODIS imagery for detecting forest changes in northern Maine’s industrial forest. Advantages of MODIS imagery compared to medium spatial resolution imagery, like Landsat TM or ETM+, are its temporal frequency, its low data volume to cover large forest regions and, the data are free to download over the Internet. The obje...

Comparative Evaluation of Image Fusion Methods for Hyperspectral and Panchromatic Data Fusion in Agricultural and Urban Areas

Nowadays remote sensing plays a key role in the field of earth science studies due to some of the advantages, including data collection at a very low cost and time on a very large scale. Meanwhile, using hyperspectral data is of great importance due to the high spectral resolution. Because of some limitations, such as hyperspectral imaging technology, it suffers from a reduction in the spatial ...
